Our Doctor

Dr. Tew and his family live in La Grange, KY. He grew up in Crestwood, KY and graduated from Oldham County High School in 2007. After serving as a missionary in Brazil for two years, he completed his bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University and then went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry. Dr. Tew completed clinical internships at Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers in Louisville, Rudebush VA hospital in Indianapolis and The Villages VA Clinic in Florida.

Dr. Tew has a passion for working with all patients from infants to the elderly. He has focused his continuing education on how to help those with vision-related learning problems, as well as those suffering from vision loss. He earned the Excellence in Vision Therapy award through the College of Vision Development, and has also earned the Esenebach Low Vision award. Dr. Tew is a member of the American Optometric Association, Kentucky Optometric Association and College of Vision Development.

Dr. Tew is excited to be back home in Oldham County, KY with his wife and four young children. He enjoys running, playing and watching sports, and playing board games with friends and family. He is also a huge fan of super heroes, Star Wars and Harry Potter.
